....making extremely creative and violent movies. His upcoming film "Inglourious Basterds" (I love how both words are spelled wrong on purpose), set to drop on August 21, looks AMAZING. Granted, Tarantino has become somewhat self-indulgent over the years (see: the first hour or so of "Death Proof"), but this movie just looks completely ridiculous. Brad Pitt as the leader of some Jewish/American soldiers who run around killing Nazis? Mike Myers as an army general? BJ Novak (from the Office) as Private in Pitt's little troupe of killers? A 2 hour and 40 minute run time? WOW.
I'm serious, by the way. This looks like one of the most badass movies ever, and hopefully Tarantino doesn't muck it up by throwing in too many of his overlong and pointless dialogue scenes....but he inevitably will do just that. Still, I'm really looking forward to this.
