Wrong / Artcycle

Here's a video of Depeche Mode performing their new single "Wrong" live at The Echo Awards in Germany. I've always loved Depeche Mode, even since before I knew who they were or knew what love was. However I've never really known much about the band. Today as I was reading this Spin article and watching the video I learned a few things. Martin Gore is actually the main songwriter, and before Playing The Angel (2006), wrote much of the lyrics, not Dave Gahan as some might expect. Also, Depephe Mode has 4 E's in their name, 2 of which are silent, however the silent pair still play an integral role in helping one to correctly pronounce the name. Seriously tho, this new song is awesome. I love synthesizers and these guys know how to use them.



Also, If you're looking for something to do tomorrow. Try the East Hollywood Artcyle festival. Heliotrope near Vermont will be closed off from traffic at Melrose for a block party type thingie. Some good bands are playing. It will be pretty cool. Here is the Schedule:
