Great Northern in the great north and Irving goes to Berlin

Hi folks!

Steven from Irving leaves us this week to head off to Germany to promote "Death in the Garden, Blood on the Flowers" released there this month. A tour will follow in the spring so if you're in Germany or plan to be there in the coming months, keep your eyes peeled for news of it on the Eenie Meenie and Irving websites! And if you get a chance, we're trying to get Irving to the top of the Pop10 so head on over and cast your vote for Situation or Jen, Nothing Matters to Me. Vote here!

Other happenings this spring include the release of Great Northern's debut, "Trading Twilight for Daylight" but if you can't wait you can see them this month somewhere in the great northeast (tour dates below). At the show, you can pick up a copy of the EP, Bats. If you'd like a preview click and download the song below. "Low is a Height" will be on the EP AND a new version appears on the full length album due out in May. You can also check out what the bloggers are saying about Great Northern here and here.

Ahhhhh! So busy prepping for the Great Northern tour!

We here at Eenie Meenie have been working like crazy to spread the word about Great Northern's west coast dates! If you or anyone you know would be interested in joining our street team for Great Northern, please send us an email (media@eeniemeenie.com) and we'll hook you up with some GREAT goodies for your hard work!

Great Northern's friends, Division Day will be joining them on tour for these dates.

And don't forget there's still one L.A. show on the calendar in January for Great Northern: the Plug L.A. awards performance at the Little Radio Warehouse on January 13th. (Division Day will not be appearing at Plug L.A.).

We'd also like to wish Solon and Rachel a happy birthday! Each celebrated a birthday already in 2007!

Keep your eyes open for more news from Goldenboy and Irving and more Great Northern info to come including a sneak peak at one of the tracks available only through select blogs in select cities.

Great Northern to play the L.A. Plug City Highlights show

Hello and Happy New Year to all!

The EMR staff is excited to be back in the office, and Santa has been good to us. We have a new speaker set and mixing board (with new receiver and CD console arriving soon!) Someone around here likes us and wants us to hear our music at the highest quality imaginable. I blasted a little Feist this afternoon and the people in the next room thought it was me singing at the top of my lungs. As soon as we get the hang of it, we're going to start the Eenie Meenie Office Sessions... bands submit your setlists now; we're gonna be REALLY picky.

The big EMR news (besides the back to back San Francisco shows this weekend with Oranger and Goldenboy) is the Great Northern appearance at the L.A. installment of the Plug City Highlights Tour to celebrate the Plug Awards in New York City on Feb. 10th. They are having a contest to see who'll open the show and the submissions are being accepted until Jan. 7th, so if you're a local Los Angeles band interested in playing with Great Northern, fill out the form on the page and cross your fingers. The show will be at the Little Radio Warehouse on Jan. 13th.

There'll be more info as it becomes available and don't forget to plan for the Great Northern tour beginning Jan. 20th in Long Beach.

Songs heard in the office today included:

Running Up That Hill, Placebo
Breed, Nirvana
Do You Love Me Still?, The Kooks
Inside and Out, Feist
Store Bought Bones, The Raconteurs
I Fought the Law, The Clash
Home, Great Northern
Situation, Irving
After the Gold Rush, Thom Yorke
